Leeds United striker Joel Piroe says he is already really close with Georginio Rutter and Wilfried Gnonto.
Piroe was speaking to the media ahead of Leeds’ trip to Hull City this evening where he was asked about how quickly he has managed to settle into the dressing room since his move.
The 24-year-old made the switch to Elland Road from Swansea City last month in a deal worth around £10.5 million and has not taken long to make an impact on the side.

Across his three Championship appearances so far, Piroe has scored three goals, including a brace in the comprehensive win at Millwall on Sunday.
Piroe’s ability in front of goal is exactly what Leeds have been missing in the final third in recent years, and he already appears to be building a decent understanding with those around him.
Piroe says he is close with Rutter and Gnonto
Aside from Dutch duo Crysencio Summerville and Pascal Struijk, Piroe feels he has already built a good relationship with both Rutter and Gnonto off the field.
He said: “It is easy to settle into this group. They are all great lads who have welcomed me really well. We have some Dutch players so it’s always easy to catch up like we’ve known each other for years. New relationships I have built up, like Georgi of course, Willy Gnonto. They are all very friendly and really good lads.”

It is often said that having a good relationship with teammates away from the pitch can also enhance the chemistry in which players have on it.
That was certainly evident at Millwall on Sunday, with Gnonto, Rutter and Piroe all having linked up to score Leeds’ opening goal at the Den.
The good thing for Leeds supporters is that understanding is only going to improve the more they play alongside each other, which will be scary for the rest of the division considering the early signs.
