Jamie Redknapp believes it is a ‘good time’ for Leeds United to face West Ham and has tipped them to pick up a positive result.
The former Liverpool midfielder was speaking on Sky Sports after Newcastle United’s 4-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, where he discussed the relegation battle.
West Ham were in European action on Thursday night away at AZ Alkmaar, where they qualified for the final of the European Conference League with a 3-1 aggregate victory.

The Hammers have all but mathematically secured their Premier League status already and as such, were seen celebrating long into the night on social media.
Redknapp tips Leeds to ‘shock’ relegation battle
Leeds could not have asked for a better time to head to West Ham on the back of their celebrations on Thursday night, and their minds will no doubt be half on the final in a couple of weeks’ time.
Time is now running out for Leeds to pick up enough points to survive, with them currently sat one adrift of Everton in safety with two matches remaining.
Leeds are set to host Tottenham Hotspur on the final day and will be keen to have destiny in their own hands, meaning a win is needed in the capital.

Redknapp has tipped Leeds to do exactly that, backing them to ‘shock’ the relegation battle with it being a ‘good time’ to face the Hammers.
“That Leeds game is a big one. To go to West Ham, who have just got to a major final, it might be a good time to play them.
“That might be the one game that we might see a real shock there, and Leeds can possibly go and get something. Obviously, Big Sam is going back to where he was a manager, so that’s a big one as well.”
