New signing Glen Kamara has told Finnish outlet HS the reason why his move from Rangers to Leeds United took so long – stating that sometimes, things take a long time to complete and “patience” is key.
Kamara completed a permanent move to Leeds in the final 48 hours of the summer window – leaving Rangers after four and a half years at Ibrox. The 27-year-old signed a deal until June 2027, costing £5m.
He even made his debut on Saturday in what was a whirlwind few days. But he had been linked for the majority of the summer window – and fans grew somewhat frustrated on social media, as it took a while.
Now with Finland ahead of their upcoming September fixtures against Kazakhstan and Denmark, the midfielder spoke to HS. He was asked why his move to Elland Road took longer than what was expected.
“Sometimes things take a long time in life, patience is key. You shouldn’t believe everything you read. To be honest, a move like that is not as complicated as people sometimes think. But it can be sometimes.”
