Rasmus Kristensen has teased fellow new Leeds United signing Brenden Aaronson during an interview with BBC Radio Leeds – when asked how his old RedBull Salzburg teammate has been settling, claiming Aaronson follows him around.
Kristensen, 25, and 21-year-old Aaronson were the club’s first-two summer signings. They both joined the club from Jesse Marsch’s old club Salzburg, for a combined fee in the region of £35million. Aaronson has made a stunning start.
Denmark international Kristensen has been slightly more up and down, but perhaps produced his best performance last time out. Indeed, he still looks quite the coup at just £10million – considering he is a regular for the Denmark side.
Asked how Aaronson is settling in, after the duo swapped Salzburg for Yorkshire, Kristensen responded. He says he is not into golf like Aaronson is, but claims the USA international is “following” him around – saying they are both happy.
“I’m not a big golfer, but Brenden moved in just behind me. He’s always following me around a bit. No, it’s nice to have Brenden around. We are both enjoying it in Yorkshire, everyone has been so welcoming. We are very happy.”

If Aaronson is following Kristensen off the pitch, he is certainly doing things by himself on it. The USMNT star looks a proper talent – and it must be remembered, he is still only 21. Leeds have got themselves a real gem for just £25m.
Kristensen has some way to go, before assuring Leeds fans he can be a mainstay in the team. Luke Ayling is back fit, Cody Drameh has done well when called upon and is shining for the 21’s. The competition could help him improve.
