A report from Dutch outlet 1908.nl claims Leeds United are in ‘direct contact’ with Arne Slot’s Feyenoord over an ambitious move to land Luis Sinisterra on loan – just 12 months after Feyenoord sold Sinisterra to Leeds for £21.5m.
Sinisterra, 24, was absent from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City. Having started against Cardiff City and come on as a sub against Shrewsbury Town, it is believed he told Daniel Farke he did not want to play on Saturday.
While Willy Gnonto is simply refusing to play, Sinisterra has a knock and does not want to worsen the issue with his knee in case a club does come calling. Farke said that he was “unavailable” and in time, more will come to light.
So, like Gnonto, Sinisterra’s future is likely to be away from Leeds come the end of the summer window. A player that like many others, is likely to have a loan clause included in his deal in the event of relegation from the top tier.

The Colombia star starred under Slot for Feyenoord. Playing 113 times in total, his last season saw him score 23 goals and lay on 14 assists in 49 games. Now, Feyenoord want him back – in what is a bit of an ambitious move.
A move to Feyenoord from Leeds is hardly ambitious – but Sinisterra is a player that has shown he has the ability to play in Europe’s top-five leagues. It is unclear if any clubs at that level will come calling – but Feyenoord have done.
The report from 1908.nl states that Leeds and Feyenoord are in ‘direct contact’ over a loan deal for Sinisterra. A move that would see Leeds allow one of our best, current players link up with a manager in Slot, we wanted, too.
