The Father of Weston McKennie has taken to Twitter to wave goodbye to Leeds United fans after an indifferent loan spell at Elland Road, with McKennie one of a number of Leeds players to be criticised in the second half of 22-23.
A season in which, Leeds have suffered relegation and will return to the Championship after just three years of top-tier football in the Premier League. A 4-1 defeat to Spurs on Sunday consigned the Whites to the drop in 19th place.
McKennie has been a source of criticism. Many have pointed towards his fitness, his lethargic style of play and fans became even more angered when friends tried to defend him. Diego Mendoza, somewhat outspoken on Twitter.

The midfielder is the first of a number of expected departures this summer. Joel Robles and Adam Forshaw are out of contract, though Forshaw has made it clear he would like to stay. Luton and Burnley want to sign Cody Drameh.
Jack Harrison, Tyler Adams, Illan Meslier, Marc Roca, Rodrigo, Willy Gnonto and plenty of other Leeds players are said to have interested parties. Liam Cooper has predicted a “mass” exodus of players in the coming months.
But with McKennie only on loan, he is now set to go back to Juventus. It is likely that there will be more to report on the future of McKennie, with his future at Juve also in doubt – having left on loan. Clubs in Europe are interested.
The midfield is likely to be an area in which Leeds need to make a signing or two. Especially, if Adams also goes and a new deal for Forshaw does not surface. Roca has interest from Real Betis, with talks said to have already started.
