Southampton are interested in signing Leeds United defender Cody Drameh.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports manager Russell Martin is a long-term admirer of Drameh and could look to do a deal before the end of the window.
It is also said, though, that Southampton could even wait until January or next summer due to Drameh’s current contract situation at Elland Road.
The 21-year-old is out of contract at Leeds next summer and at this stage, there has been no indication he will be signing a new one.
Having picked up an injury in pre-season, Drameh has managed just a handful of minutes in the opening three matches of the campaign, coming on at left-wing as a late substitute against Shrewsbury Town.

After such a successful period on loan at Luton Town in the second half of last season, this had looked as though it would finally be his breakthrough year at Leeds.
Though it is partly down to injury issues, it just hasn’t materialised that way as of yet and his future now appears in doubt once again.
Leeds were close to spending big money on a new right-back last week, with Max Aarons having travelled up for a medical after a £12 million deal was agreed with Norwich City.
While that deal was eventually hijacked at the 11th hour by Premier League side Bournemouth, it still raised question marks as to what that meant for Drameh.
His future could certainly be one to keep an eye on before the end of the window.
