Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Leeds United and Real Betis have a ‘full agreement’ in place for Marc Roca to join the La Liga club this summer, on a loan-to-buy deal – making him the club’s fourth senior summer exit.
Leeds have already waved goodbye to the likes of Stuart McKinstry, Tyler Roberts and Alfie McCalmont. Weston McKennie’s loan ended following the 4-1 loss to Tottenham. Now, Leeds are focusing on exits from their senior side.
Since Daniel Farke arrived, Robin Koch has joined Frankfurt. Diego Llorente has gone back to Roma and Brenden Aaronson has moved to Union Berlin. Now, 26-year-old midfielder Roca is to become the fourth name on that list.
That is according to what Romano is reporting, anyway. Rasmus Kristensen’s move to Roma is still on, but stalling. But in the mean time, Roca looks set for Betis – with Romano saying there is a full agreement on a loan-to-buy deal.

Roca struggled at Leeds. After an exciting start, with the hype plentiful given he joined Leeds from Bayern Munich, it was clear that Roca was struggling with the pace and physicality of the Premier League. Jesse Marsch coped with it.
The American boss would often take Roca off in and around the 60th minute. But after Marsch’s exit, Tyler Adams’ injury meant that Roca would have to play 90 minutes and he clearly struggled to maintain his quality for that long.
Quite simply, Roca did not live up to what many had hoped from him. In the event of relegation, Roca has clearly decided that he wants to go – rather than stick around at Leeds. Betis have moved, and a deal looks very close.
