Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Aberdeen teenager Lewis Pirie.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports Pirie will join on a contract until the summer of 2026 after the two clubs reached an agreement on a fee of around £200,000.
Pirie netted 51 goals for club and country last season and as per the Daily Record, was offered an extension at Aberdeen, but instead looks as though he will be the latest Scottish prodigy to move to Elland Road.
It is a market Leeds have regularly made use of in terms of academy recruitment in the last few years, with Stuart McKinstry the first to make the move from Motherwell in 2019, though his time at the club came to an end last week.
Goalkeeper Rory Mahady was the most recent to make the move south of the border, joining from Scottish champions Celtic last summer.

Leeds have beaten off competition from the likes of Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Celtic to Pirie’s signature, with the 16-year-old clearly one of Scotland’s brightest young talents.
Craig Dean is the man in charge of academy recruitment at Leeds, bringing in a number of top talents in recent years, including Crysencio Summerville, Joe Gelhardt, Cody Drameh and Darko Gyabi.
Despite relegation, it doesn’t look like Leeds will abandon their strategy of looking to bring in some of the best young talent, with many now hoping to force their way into the first team for the upcoming season.
That said, Pirie is someone who remains someway off senior football given his age and is likely to feature for the U18s and potentially U21s during his first season at the club.
He does, however, look like a player with big potential and Leeds will be hoping this is the first of many signings this summer, with several needed for both the first team, and U21s.
