Ethan Ampadu and Largie Ramazani react to what happened on Saturday as Leeds United ease past QPR

Leeds United made hard work of it, but they got over the line to secure an eighth Championship win of the season on Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.

Brenden Aaronson was in excellent form on Saturday and came closest to opening the scoring with a shot from 20 yards out that smacked the bar. A goal-mouth scramble led to Leeds breaking the deadlock.

Manor Solomon took the ball off Wilfried Gnonto’s toes, Mateo Joseph had a swipe before Jayden Bogle’s awkward-looking left-footed shot managed to find the top corner off the bar, giving Leeds the lead.

Solomon then had a goal disallowed after a gorgeous pass from Aaronson found Sam Byram offside. But it was Joel Piroe who came off the bench again to score his sixth goal of 2024-25 for Daniel Farke’s side.

While Leeds made hard work of getting goals on the score sheet, the win never looked in doubt after Bogle’s opener. It saw Leeds win a ninth clean sheet from 14 Championship games after losing to Millwall.

A crucial time to get back to winning ways having lose to Millwall on Wednesday night, and a victory that sees Leeds go within two points of leaders Sunderland after the Black Cats drew with Coventry City.

Ethan Ampadu posted on his Instagram story, after the match – highlighting the importance of getting a win after losing at Millwall: “Back to winning ways, well played lads.”

Largie Ramazani also responded to Leeds’ win over QPR yesterday

Like Ampadu, Largie Ramazani currently finds himself on the sidelines through injury. The £10m man is yet to overcome an ankle injury, with Dan James and Manor Solomon deputising for the summer signing.

The pocket-sized winger signed from Almeria in the latest transfer window took to Instagram like captain Ampadu and said: “Love it Boys.+3”. Leeds could drop to third if Sheffield United beat Wednesday today.

After the final international break until March, Leeds face a run of 10 fixtures from November 24 until New Year’s Day. A trip to Swansea up first, before hosting relegated Luton at Elland Road on the 27th.
