‘Difference between them and us’: Ben Parker predicts narrow result as Leeds take on Leicester

Leeds United travel to Leicester City on Friday night in what is already being billed as a crucial clash to determine who gains promotion from the Championship – and Ben Parker has predicted the result.

Leeds come into the game having won four of their last five, looking pretty solid in third place in the division. Leeds have adapted after a tumultuous summer, largely thanks to Daniel Farke’s guidance.

But Leicester have gone to a new level. A record-breaking start to the Championship campaign, winning 13 of 14 Championship games. An incredible 39 points already on the board, under boss Enzo Maresca.

They are favourites going into Friday’s huge clash. A game that could help determine whether Leeds remain in the race for automatic promotion – and a game that could solidify Leicester’s top-two hopes.

Ex-Leeds defender Parker was asked to predict the match on Thursday’s LS11 episode. He says the difference between the two sides is that Leicester are able to win ugly – but predicted a 2-1 Leeds win.

“They’ve not been tearing teams apart. The difference, they’re winning ugly. A fantastic game. A point would be good, but I think we’re gonna nick it towards the end. Last 10 mins, get a winner and win 2-1.”

This is a massive test. Our toughest yet and if Leeds are to get the job done, we will need to be at our absolute best. That means, having the likes of Joe Rodon, Sam Byram and Crysencio Summerville fit.

They were all seen in LUTV’s latest training video ahead of Leicester. Whether that is enough, remains to be seen. It is likely we will play cautiously, on the break – using the speed of our attacking, in-form stars.
