Former Leeds United assistant manager Mark Jackson has landed a new role at Central Coast Mariners.
The Australian side confirmed this morning that Jackson has been named as their new manager in what will be his first job since being sacked by MK Dons at the end of last season.
MK Dons was his first proper role in first team management having been assistant to Jesse Marsch at Leeds, as well as the Whites’ U23s manager after Carlos Corberan.

He lasted just less than six months at the Dons as he failed to prevent them from being relegated to League Two, missing out on survival by just a point.
Prior to that, he had been a highly respected figure at Elland Road with Marsch having hailed him as ‘outstanding’ following his departure in December 2022, while also stating Leeds would not have beaten relegation in the 2021/22 had it not been for Jackson.
Former Leeds coach Jackson lands new role
Jackson will be working alongside Marcelo Bielsa’s former analyst and translator at Leeds Andres Clavijo, who landed his job at the Mariners last month.
His first match in charge comes a week today when the Mariners host Stallions in the AFC Cup, who are a side based in the Philippines.

The Mariners lost their first match of the tournament away at Terengganu last week, with their league campaign not getting underway until October 20.
Jackson will be looking to his lead the Mariners to a second consecutive A-League Championship after they defeated Melbourne City 6-1 in the Grand Final in June.
After the disappointment of his time at MK Dons, Jackson will also be hoping this is the job that really kick starts his career in management.
