Brian Deane has taken to Twitter to criticise Leeds United duo Luis Sinisterra and Willy Gnonto with both refusing to play for the club as they pursue moves away from West Yorkshire – as uncertainty continues to envelop Elland Road.
Gnonto, 19, refused to play against Shrewsbury Town in the Carabao Cup last Wednesday as he looks for an exit. He trained, but told Daniel Farke before boarding the team bus travelling to Birmingham that he did not want to play.
Sinisterra is in a slightly different situation. He was used last Wednesday, but due to a knock to his knee, he played just seven minutes of the 2-1 win. Due to the injury, he didn’t want to worsen the situation to prevent a summer exit.
That saw him join Gnonto in refusing to play against Birmingham on Saturday. It is unclear if either will be available this Friday against West Brom, and if any others will join them. Ex-Leeds man Deane has given his verdict on Twitter.

It is a dismal showing of poor attitude, lack of loyalty and utter lack of affection towards the club that not only pays their wages, employs them – but the club’s supporters too. Sinisterra and Gnonto should hand their heads in shame.
Gnonto is young and impressionable – and it is likely his agents are fuelling the way he goes about things. But, he is still his own man – and can easily just disagree. Sinisterra has a knock, but his refusal is on the premise of a move.
Leeds is a huge club, and for buying sides – surely their questionable attitudes will put new suitors off? If you are a club looking at either player – would you be happy signing them, knowing they are capable of doing this? Surely, no.
