Eirik Bakke managed to find a place in his Premier League team of the season so far for one Leeds United player, with Brenden Aaronson making the cut – as shown by Norwegian outlet Viaplay Fotball.
It has been a turbulent campaign for Jesse Marsch’s side. Leeds went into the World Cup break not far above the relegation zone in the Premier League. But there have also been plenty of promising signs for the Whites.

Leeds have played a lot of good football this season. The Whites have beaten Chelsea and Liverpool. And they pushed Arsenal like almost no other side this term.
Aaronson makes Eirik Bakke’s team of the season
The new signings have largely been excellent. Tyler Adams has arguably been our best player. Meanwhile, the likes of Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Willy Gnonto have also had some bright moments.

But it was another member of the team who managed to make Bakke’s team of the season so far, with Aaronson included alongside Norwegian pair Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland…
We will certainly not make any complaints with Bakke including Aaronson in his side. He has been superb since his move to Elland Road in the summer.
Perhaps we could ask for more goals and assists from the 22-year-old. It may surprise Leeds fans to know that he has only been credited with one goal and contributed two assists. In fairness, he should have also got our winner against Wolves on the opening day of the campaign.
But he is little more than a year older than the likes of Crysencio Summerville, Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt. He is still developing.
It is extremely exciting that he is already making a big impact in the Premier League. And he is going to have a massive role to play in the second-half of the season.
