Birmingham City boss John Eustace has provided an update on the fitness of Tyler Roberts ahead of a potential reunion with Leeds United.
Eustace was speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s meeting in the West Midlands, with Roberts’ fitness hot on the agenda.
After five-and-a-half years at Leeds, Roberts made the permanent switch to Birmingham in the summer as he looks to really get his career back on track.

Roberts has struggled with injuries over the last few years and spent last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers, where he was restricted to just 20 appearances.
He was handed his full debut for Birmingham in last week’s draw at Swansea City but was substituted on the hour mark after feeling a touch of cramp.
Eustace provides Roberts update ahead of Leeds reunion
Roberts did not feature at all in the Carabao Cup win at Cheltenham Town on Tuesday, but Eustace says he will be fit for the game against his former club Leeds.
“They will be fine. They both trained today. They were just rested on Tuesday. Both of them have had injuries over the last season or two and it’s the first time Tyler has completed pre-season in six years. That’s a massive stat for him and he was delighted with that.”

Roberts was part of the Leeds side that won promotion to the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa back in the 2019/20 campaign.
In total, he made 108 appearances for the Whites, scoring nine goals and providing 10 assists, and will be coming up against some familiar faces including Luke Ayling, Illan Meslier and Pascal Struijk.
It would be of no surprise to any Leeds supporter if Roberts was to get on the scoresheet on Saturday.
