Marcelo Bielsa needs a reaction from his Leeds United side in tomorrow’s Yorkshire derby against bitter rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

On the back of a first defeat of the season against Birmingham City last weekend, Bielsa must get his side back on track.

Leeds have something of a mental block when it comes to retaining their form after a set-back; Bielsa must ensure Leeds do not fall apart again.

Around this time last season, Thomas Christiansen had the Whites flying high and the fans bouncing; by February, he was sacked, without a win since Boxing Day.

With the likes of Adam Forshaw nearing fitness and a defeat to recover from, Bielsa may be expected to make changes.

However, speaking to the press before the trip to face the Owls, he revealed that he would name an unchanged team.

It’s clear that Bielsa will retain the faith in the players who have done well for him lately; giving them a chance to get back on song after the Birmingham blip.

The derby match may mean that form goes out of the window; from that point of view, it is the perfect time for such a game to come around.
