Andrea Radrizzani is renowned for his use of Twitter and communicating with Leeds fans – his latest interaction seems him liking a message from a Whites fan, which includes criticism of the decision to employ Victor Orta.
It is a new era at Leeds. The 49ers are closing in on a takeover with a deal agreed, only awaiting ratification from The EFL. Radrizzani remains the majority shareholder, but the Italian is now in control of Serie B side Sampdoria.
He has just hired Andrea Pirlo. But clearly, there is still an affinity with Leeds – the club he will wave goodbye to. He has come in for criticism in the way it ended, and using Elland Road as a pawn piece in his takeover of Sampdoria.
Now, he has hinted at another aspect of his feelings about the way it ended at Leeds – including the exit of Orta, near the end of the 22-23 year. Orta went after a number of questionable signings, and managerial appointments.
Radrizzani has shown his feelings on Orta, with his latest interaction on Twitter. A fan waved goodbye to Radrizzani, liking a Tweet saying he should stop using Twitter – and not employ Orta. The Spaniard is at La Liga side Sevilla.

It shows a lot that Radrizzani has liked a message criticising Orta in this way, given the duo were part of a three-man team that guided Leeds from mid-table obscurity in the Championship – to finishing in ninth in the Premier League.
Now, it is time to move forward. Leeds will have a new boardroom, currently comprising of Paraag Marathe and The 49ers, temporary sporting director Nick Hammond and Angus Kinnear, who remains CEO. Promotion is the target.
