Andrea Radrizzani has told his interview with DAZN – as per TuttoMercatoWeb – that he “loves” Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto, describing the Italy attacker as an “exceptional boy”. Gnonto has become one of our most-key players.
The 19-year-old has scored four goals in 16 games in all competitions for Leeds this season. Brilliant goals against West Ham and Manchester United, and then in the FA Cup against Cardiff, netting a brace in the 5-2 replay victory.
It has become common knowledge that Leeds intended on signing Gnonto in January, rather than last summer. Or even, in the summer of 2023. But after failed moves for Cody Gakpo and Bamba Dieng, Leeds brought in Gnonto.
Spending a mere £4million to sign Gnonto, Leeds fans have instantly fallen in love with the pocket-sized Italy ace. Strong, skillful, quick and with an eye for goal – he has been superb. Radrizzani explained his love for the wide man.

“I love him, he is an exceptional boy. It is difficult to find a 19-year-old Italian who speaks four languages very well and has such an open mind,” Radrizzani said. “He is humble, concrete and intelligent. Knows how to manage time, space.”

Gnonto has been sensational. For a young lad, to come over to a completely new league, he has sparkled in a side that have really struggled this season. But of course, it means that his future is going to be an immediate topic for chat.
Especially, if we are relegated. Can Leeds keep him this summer? It all depends on survival in the Premier League. The Whites, and Radrizzani know also, that if they are going to get top dollar for Gnonto in the future – we must stay up.
