Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Junior Firpo is set to leave Leeds United this summer with a number of European sides keen on the left-back.
Romano has taken to Twitter on Wednesday morning to suggest that Junior Firpo is ready to move on from Elland Road after two years following the club’s relegation.

Unfortunately, there will not be many tears shed amongst fans when Firpo leaves the club. There was real excitement when Victor Orta landed the 26-year-old from Barcelona.
Junior Firpo set for Leeds exit
Leeds have notoriously struggled with the left-back position since Charlie Taylor’s departure. However, it became apparent fairly quickly that Firpo was not the answer we hoped he would be.

He struggled with form and fitness during his first year at Leeds. And it looked to be best for all parties that a move was found for Firpo last summer.
He did stay. And he actually looked superb in the opening game of pre-season. Admittedly, it was against Blackpool. But there was a real sense of disappointment when he sustained a serious injury in that game.
His first start of the season resulting in that 2-0 defeat to Leicester brought us back down to earth.
There were some positive signs under Javi Gracia. He scored the winner against Southampton. And he was one of our better players in a few other games.
However, he reverted to past form for the run-in. And he was fortunate to not be sent off against Newcastle much sooner than when he was actually dismissed. He certainly did his best to not see the game out.
It is probably fitting therefore, that that game against the Magpies may prove to be his final start for Leeds. Romano has now suggested on Twitter that he is expected to leave with plenty of sides keen…
The summer in which Firpo arrived will be remembered as a turning point in Leeds’ recent history. That was the window when the club squandered the opportunity to do something special under Marcelo Bielsa.
Firpo is obviously not solely responsible for what has happened since. But the move has not worked out for anyone.
And it feels like a boost for all parties that Romano thinks several clubs are now interested.
