Leeds United are yet to bring in a new striker and could do with some quick business in the final third after Patrick Bamford and Georginio Rutter picked up injuries at Hearts – so why not rival Watford for Ibrox hero Alfredo Morelos?
Bamford picked up another hamstring issue last weekend, after Rutter was withdrawn due to a core muscle issue. It is unclear if those injuries are serious but given Bamford’s issue with injuries – you would imagine he’ll take his time.
Joe Gelhardt is more of a 10, and has been used in that role by Daniel Farke. Mateo Joseph is the next option, but he has only been used out wide by Farke in pre-season. Leeds need one of the two strikers back – or a new addition.

The Athletic say Colombia international Morelos is a target for Watford. A move that would see him join his Scottish nemesis in Ryan Porteous, the duo entangled in numerous spats and red cards over the years. He is a free agent.
Rangers’ record goalscorer in European competition, Morelos scored 124 goals in 269 games for the Gers – laying on an equally impressive 58 assists. A serious player if you can get the best out of him. And a bargain, on a free.
Leeds should rival Watford for Rangers hero Alfredo Morelos, on a free
Issue regarding Morelos will be fitness. He has had problems with maintaining the right levels over the years and it is likely when signed, he will need some conditioning before being considered ready to play. But he is worth the risk.

His goalscoring record, not only in Scotland but in Europe, is enough to have a crack on him – given he will cost us nothing. We need a striker and at his best, he is easily as good as Joel Piroe – a player that could cost a huge £15m.
The report states he is open to a Championship club and Leeds should look to rival Watford for the South American star. A move that would surely convince Luis Sinisterra to stay put for a year – instead of being open to a Leeds exit.
