Robin Koch made his debut for Frankfurt after his Leeds United exit on Saturday afternoon as the Bundesliga club smashed minnows Braunfels 15-1 – with Koch playing the second 45, and Brenden Aaronson’s brother scoring four.
Koch, 26, is one of many players to have left Leeds this summer along with the likes of Rasmus Kristensen, Rodrigo, Diego Llorente and Aaronson. Wearing the no.4 shirt, he played the second half as Frankfurt eased a massive win.
It was a comprehensive display from the German side, who will be in European competition next season. A move that sees Koch look to establish himself back in Germany’s National Team, with Euro 2024 closing in next summer.
A move that sees Leeds basically wave goodbye to Koch permanently. With his contract expiring next summer at Leeds, he is more than likely to sign a pre-contract agreement at Frankfurt from January 1, officially leaving in 2024.
So, Koch made his debut for Frankfurt on Saturday – or at least, his non-competitive debut. They made 11 changes at half-time and Koch was one of those, taking to the field for the first time as his new side eased to a 15-1 win.

Koch prevented Frankfurt’s opposition from scoring while he was on the pitch. But it was another player with Leeds connections that stole the headlines. Brenden Aaronson’s younger brother Paxten ended the game with four goals.
Aaronson also got an assist for Frankfurt’s 13th, while Koch himself registered an assist – flicking a corner into the path of fellow new signing Ellyes Skhiri to score, for Frankfurt’s eighth. A good start for Koch, harder tests to come.
