Brenden Aaronson is expected to complete his move away from Leeds United in the next week, with the American on the verge of joining Union Berlin on loan.
That is according to the Mail on Sunday (9/7; page 93), which suggests that the USMNT international is set to seal his exit from Elland Road in the coming days.

Aaronson to seal Leeds loan exit this coming week
For many, a year in the Championship appeared to be exactly what Aaronson needed. In the early stages of last season, we saw exactly how dangerous he could be. The high point was certainly his dismantling of Kalidou Koulibaly in the 3-0 win over Chelsea.
But his form was in decline before the World Cup. And he was poor for the large majority of the second-half of the campaign. His inability to stay on his feet whenever faced with the tiniest amount of physicality also infuriated fans.
So a season in the second tier could have been ideal – both in terms of toughening him up, and giving him the platform to regain some confidence.
However, Aaronson is heading to Germany. The Mail on Sunday (9/7; page 93) reports that he will complete his loan move to Union Berlin in the next week.
Of course, it is not difficult to see why a move to Union would appeal more than staying at Leeds. The Bundesliga side will be playing in the Champions League next year.
And he did have success in Austria previously. So playing in Germany may suit his game more.
It will certainly be in Leeds’ best interests for Aaronson to be a success out on loan. Either that will set the stage for him to make a positive return to Yorkshire, or it will boost the club’s chances of recouping the £25 million they spent on him in the first place.
