Swansea City are set to be without Harrison Ashby for tomorrow night’s match with Leeds United.
Ashby limped off in just the 10th minute of Swansea’s 2-2 draw with Hull City on Saturday with an apparent hamstring injury, which is set to keep him out of the trip to Elland Road.
Swansea manager Michael Duff confirmed after Saturday’s match that Ashby’s injury was looking like a ‘significant one’, though no exact timeframe was put on when he could comeback.
However, due to the short turnaround between matches and area of the injury, it is almost certain that Ashby won’t be involved, which is undoubtedly a blow for the away side.
Leeds fans should be fairly familiar with Ashby having targeted a move for him both in the summer of 2022, and in January earlier this year, according to the Sun.
Ashby to miss Leeds vs Swansea
However, Ashby instead made the move to Newcastle United in January before heading out on loan to Swansea in the summer, where he has since made 11 appearances.
Leeds fans do not look likely to get the opportunity to see what they missed out on, though, with Ashby set to miss the trip to West Yorkshire.
Duff said on Saturday: “I’ve not spoken to the physio, but when it’s a hamstring and he’s limping after a game, it never ends well normally. I’m not able to give a full diagnosis or a timeframe, but it looks like another significant one.”
Leeds will be looking to return to winning ways against the Swans having been held to a 1-1 draw at Rotherham United on Friday, missing the chance to close the gap on Ipswich Town to five points.
Swansea have been in poor form as of late with just one win in their last six matches, and Elland Road has been a fortress as of late, with five consecutive victories.
