Goal have reported that Leeds United target Edouard Michut is training alongside Kylian Mbappe in PSG’s ‘bomb squad’, a group of 15 players that have been left at home from a pre-season tour of Japan – with futures unclear.
Michut, 20, was loaned to Sunderland last season from PSG. Technically gifted and with an eye for a pass from the no.8, or no.10 role, Michut showed glimpses of quality in the Championship – without really ever making an impact.
He played 28 times in total for Tony Mowbray’s side. He has since rejected a permanent £2.2m move to the Black Cats and is now back at PSG, where he finds himself in the final 12 months of his contract. Leeds are interested.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano. The latest report states that Michut is part of a 15-man squad that includes Mbappe, who have been left at home at PSG’s France training base, rather than jetting off to Japan this summer.

Should Leeds for Michut? Clearly, he is a player that will be looking to leave PSG and he might fancy a return to the Championship having played here last season. But if he joins us – surely he just blocks Archie Gray’s progression?
Gray is a wonderkid. Ben Parker thinks he will start on Sunday alongside Ethan Ampadu in the middle of the park. Leeds do need cover in midfield, but bringing in another young player like Gray would surely just stunt his progress.
Michut is a good player and he is not limited to playing as a no.8. He can come in and replace Brenden Aaronson, too. But is he good enough to throw in ahead of Sam Greenwood as well? Arguably not. Faith in the current squad.
