Southampton striker Che Adams has told Hampshire Live that he is happy to stay where he is but left the door open to a move from the South Coast – when asked about interest in his services from the likes of Leeds United and Everton.
Adams, 26, has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Southampton and has attracted interest from the likes of Leeds and Everton in recent months. TalkSPORT said towards the end of January that Leeds and Everton were keen.
The Scotland international has regularly lead the line for the Saints this season – scoring four Premier League goals. But, his form has caught the eye in the Carabao Cup, netting five goals as Southampton reached the semi-finals.
Now, the £15m Southampton signing has commented on his future. He says that he has no plans to leave the Saints and he remains happy on the South Coast. But, he did just keep a move ajar, by saying “we will see what happens”.

“I am happy to stay. I have loved every single minute. I have a nice home. We are really settled down here, so we will see what happens. [A move is] not in my mind at the moment. I’m just thinking about staying in the Premier League.”
Che Adams leaves door open when asked about Leeds, Everton interest
Adams has certainly not pulled up trees in the Premier League when it comes to his goalscoring rate. But his work rate, his ability to play in most positions in attack and the fact he has 14 assists alongside 24 goals in the top tier, is solid.
So, if he does become available and is available this summer, Leeds could do a lot worse than bring Adams to the club given he is proven in the top tier. If Leeds actually need Adams is another question, after signing Georgie Rutter.
