11 misplaced passes, just 57 touches and a 6.4 ratings: £6m Leeds star struggles on Tuesday

It was another disappointing night for Glen Kamara and Finland on Tuesday as the Leeds United man failed to prevent his country losing 2-1 to Kazakhstan – and the stats are not good reading for Kamara.

Kamara, 27, has started to get his career at Leeds rolling over the last few weeks – breaking into the starting XI. During the October break, Kamara’s Finland needed to pick up points in European qualifying.

Finland came into the break with 12 points from six games – and they leave the break with the same amount of points. Two dismal results. Slovenia was always going to be a tricky test away from home.

But, not many will have predicted a 3-0 defeat. Then, last night, Kamara’s Finland were winning 1-0 against Kazakhstan – but threw it away in the last 15, losing 2-1. Kamara did not have a great night.

Not just due to the result, but also because the £6m Leeds man’s stats suggest he endured a bad night personally. WhoScored report he misplaced a huge 11 of 50 attempted passes. Not good enough.

Stats not good reading for Leeds man Kamara after Finland loss

Other stats that jump off the page are that for a central midfielder, the ex-Rangers man managed just 57 touches throughout the entire 90 minutes. No tackles, no interceptions. A rating of 6.40, out of 10.

Perhaps, tiredness is kicking in for Kamara. After failing to do play for Rangers right up until his move and not allowed to train with the senior side – that lack of pre-season may be catching up with him.

He has started three of Leeds’ last four games, finishing the game twice. Two full 90 minutes, with lots of travelling during the October break. Perhaps, he needs a rest when Leeds go to Norwich on Saturday.
