Leeds United face a tough trip down to Brighton in the Premier League this weekend.

It was an uplifting week for Leeds United, as they bounced back to winning ways with a desperately-needed three points against a hapless West Ham.

Goals from Brenden Aaronson and Joe Rodon saw Daniel Farke’s side race into a two-goal lead last Friday, though Mateus Fernandes’ late header ensured it would be a nervy final few minutes.

Though there were positive signs at Elland Road, there were also more concerns over Leeds’ lack of cutting edge and their drop off in the second half.

The Whites may not have got two early goals so easily against a better side, which is exactly what they’re up against this weekend in Brighton and Hove Albion.

As a result, there will be no live stream available for the game in the UK, either.

However, BBC Radio Leeds will provide live commentary.

Brighton vs Leeds United team news

Leeds will be sweating on the fitness of left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson ahead of the match, after the left-back was forced off with an injury in the first half against West Ham.

James Justin did a good job filling in, but he is naturally a right-back. Farke was hopeful that Gudmundsson only suffered a bruise to his back rather than a serious injury and said: “With Gabi, I hope it’s just the bruise because he’s another important player who had an excellent performance in the last weeks.”

It also remains to be seen if Noah Okafor will be fit to play after he went off at half-time on Friday in his first game back after being sidelined with an adductor issue.

Willy Gnonto and Harry Gray could return but Farke appears to be giving them plenty of time to recover.

Brighton are dealing with several more injury concerns, though, with James Milner, Kaoru Mitoma, Brajan Gruda, Joel Veltman, Jack Hinshelwood, Solly March and Adam Webster all unavailable.

Predictions

Brighton are obviously a strong and more established Premier League outfit, who have yet to lose at home this season and have wins over Manchester City and Chelsea.

But there is some hope for Leeds, as Fabian Hurzeler’s side are inconsistent, only sit one point above them in the table and have failed to beat the likes of Everton and Wolves.

It’ll be tough, but Leeds have proven they can compete, even away, against teams who appear far better.

Prediction: Brighton 1-1 Leeds.
