Journalist Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that James McAtee has concerns amid speculation that Leeds want the Manchester City starlet on loan this summer.
McAtee appears to be one of the Whites’ remaining targets as the new Premier League season looms. The Daily Mail reported on Wednesday that Jesse Marsch is very keen on the attacking midfielder.

Manchester City meanwhile, are open to loaning him out. However, they want assurances over how much game-time he will receive before they let him head anywhere.
And it seems that McAtee also has his reservations. Jones has noted that Leeds would like to bring the 19-year-old to Eland Road this summer. But the youngster is not looking to rush into a decision by any means.

“I think that it’s something Leeds are looking at and they’re interested in him,” he told Give Me Sport.
“I don’t think anyone is convinced that Manchester City will let him out, so they might have to wait until the end of the window.
“I think McAtee is also cautious about making sure he lands at a club where he gets opportunities, so there’s still lots to do there.”
Leeds want James McAtee
McAtee has proven himself to be a special talent for Manchester City’s under-23s. But he has only made a handful of first-team appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side.
There is obviously no shame in that at all. But Leeds are not pursuing a loan deal. Therefore, they need signings capable of making a real impact this season.
McAtee definitely has the talent to make that major impression. But it would also be a bit of a gamble for Leeds to offer the kind of assurances that both City and McAtee are looking for.
