Leeds interested in Mo Camara and have made contact - agent

Mo Camara’s agent has confirmed that Leeds United are interested in signing the midfielder this summer and have made contact about a potential move for the Mali international.

Leeds are looking for their fourth signing of the window. And there is, unfortunately, a chance that it could be a replacement for Kalvin Phillips as he continues to be linked with a move to Manchester City.

A look on social media would suggest that a lot of Leeds supporters would like to see Camara move to Elland Road, whether Phillips stays or not.

He is, of course, another player Jesse Marsch knows well. The 22-year-old joined Red Bull Salzburg while the American was still in charge. And he has since established himself as a key man for the Austrian outfit.

It seems that Leeds are indeed interested. Twitter account LUFCFANZONE have claimed to have spoken to Camara’s agent. And his representative suggested that the Whites have made it clear that they are keen on a deal.

Leeds interested in signing Camara

Leeds have made a promising start to the window. And the current squad looks to be in a much stronger position with the current additions.

However, it would be naive to assume that both Phillips and Raphinha are staying. It would be amazing. But it also seems highly unlikely given the current levels of speculation.

Some of the names mentioned as replacements seem thoroughly underwhelming – looking at you, Adama Traore. But Camara looks to have serious potential.

Losing Phillips would be a massive blow. But signing Camara in response would be a really smart move from Victor Orta.
