Leeds United fans are probably growing fed-up of hearing about Barcelona during this summer transfer window, but the Whites may be about to get one over on the Catalan giants as they pursue Marc Roca.
Of course, one of Barcelona’s top targets in this window is our very own Raphinha. Despite rafts of reports linking the Brazilian with the Nou Camp, Barca are yet to agree a deal for the winger.

They have certainly managed to annoy many of our fans with their pursuit. Reports have suggested that they wanted to pay little more than £21 million – even after we avoided relegation.
So any opportunity to get one over on Barca would be most welcome. And it seems that that chance may be just around the corner.

It appears that our next key target is Marc Roca. The Bayern Munich star is a £10 million-rated target for Jesse Marsch as we look to strengthen in the middle of the park.
Leeds and Barcelona both want Roca
Some may fear that the pursuit is another flex from Victor Orta. Leeds have not had the best luck when signing players from massive clubs.
We bought Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid and Junior Firpo from Barcelona, amongst others. And those additions have not turned out too well.
A look on social media would suggest that few see Roca going a similar way if he joined Leeds. And perhaps we can take further encouragement from who else wants the 25-year-old.
Mundo Deportivo noted reports in May claiming that Xavi wants Roca at Barcelona. In fact, he was seen as a potential replacement for Sergio Busquets.
So that would help make Leeds signing Roca particularly satisfying.
Just be prepared for Barcelona to decide that they are going to sign him next year if he joins Leeds and has a successful campaign.
