Bailey Peacock-Farrell posted an excellent picture alongside Leeds United star Stuart Dallas on Instagram after Northern Ireland leapt a step closer to Euro 2020 qualification – but could the two reunite at club level in the near future?

Northern Ireland secured a stunning penalty-shootout win to beat Bosnia despite their opponents boasting Barcelona star Miralem Pjanic, former Manchester City target man Edin Dzeko and Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac.

Niall McGinn cancelled out Rade Krunic’s first-half opener, with the game going to penalties. Dallas scored his and Northern Ireland’s first, while former Leeds goalkeeper Peacock-Farrell produced a stunning stop to save Haris Hajradinovic‘s effort.

Following the win, Burnley goalkeeper Peacock-Farrell posted a picture on Instagram that will warm the hearts of Leeds fans – embracing Dallas after the full-time whistle. It is a rare highlight for Peacock-Farrell, who is struggling at club level.

Leeds, meanwhile, could do with a new goalkeeper. Kiko Casilla remains at the club but is one of the club’s highest earners on £35,000 a week (Phil Hay’s YEP podcast), and has dropped behind Illan Meslier.

Certainly, the former Real Madrid goalkeeper endured a difficult season in which he was banned for eight games following an accusation of racism. He has lost his place, and is becoming an expensive burden on the Yorkshire side.

Offloading the Spain international and finding a new back-up goalkeeper would be ideal. Peacock-Farrell could be the perfect candidate, given he has managed just two appearances since joining Burnley over a year ago for £3.5million (YEP).

The 15-time Northern Ireland international played 41 times for Leeds before his move to Burnley, even featuring under Marcelo Bielsa. He has the same agent as Crysencio Summerville and Adam Forshaw, as per TransferMarkt.

On the fringes at Burnley, a decent offer would surely be accepted if he wanted to leave. So, given the love Peacock-Farrell still has for one of his old Leeds teammates in Dallas, surely the Whites should consider a return – in place of Casilla?
