Vinnie Jones has claimed in his latest column that he believes Leedscan get a draw against Manchester United on Saturday lunchtime. Leeds travel to Old Trafford in a mouthwatering Premier League opener to take on their bitter rivals. Jones predicts the outcome, and praises Marcelo Bielsa.

The reverse fixture, was of course, pretty horrific. Leeds – yet to tighten up as we did in the second half of the season – suffered a 6-2 loss to United. Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas getting the goals, the latter of which scoring probably the best of the game. But Saturday’s game is a different affair.

As aforementioned, Leeds tightened up in the second half of the season – with the United defeat the turning point. They conceded 30 goals in their opening 14, but just 22 in their next 24 league games. United was the turning point. Jones thinks Leeds can get a draw on Saturday.

What has Vinnie Jones said as Leeds take on Manchester United?

Predicting a draw lower down in the column, he says: “I’m going for another tight affair on Saturday lunchtime with Man Utd at home to Leeds – and my boys will not be easily beaten away from home. Bielsa is a legend already in my book and I believe Leeds can really push on this season.”

The Whites will be without a number of key players, though. Arguably the club’s best defender Diego Llorente is suffering with a knock – picked up against Real Betis. New signing Junior Firpo might have to wait for his debut, while Jamie Shackleton is also struggling to be fit for the start.

In other Leeds news, Rangers suffering an early Champions League exit might mean a hit to their finances – and a Leeds boost.
