With just four days left in the January transfer window, it is unlikely that Leeds United are going to bring in any signings. Even Marcelo Bielsa stated in his recent press conference that he does not expect any incoming players – though that has not stopped reports of potential signings, and some even leaving the club.
Below is a round-up as we enter what is likely to be a busy few days in the market:
Alioski update amid Galatasaray reports
Yesterday we reported that Turkish media – Fotomac, to be precise – had claimed 28-year-old Gjanni Alioski had ‘agreed’ a move to Galatasaray with the North Macedonia international in the final six months of his contract. He can talk to clubs on a pre-contract agreement, but Phil Hay has since stated on Twitter that it is not the case, and he remains in talks with Leeds over extending his current deal.
Another to leave on loan
The Athletic’s Hay gave another bit of transfer news to fans on Thursday – confirming that the club are expected to secure a loan exit for defender Olly Casey. The 20-year-old has come in for some criticism for his performance in the 3-0 loss to Crawley Town, which was just his third senior outing. It is claimed a loan deal is now expected, joining Jordan Stevens, Robbie Gotts and Ryan Edmondson to leave on loan this month.

Pulgar offer on table
That is according to Italian newspaper La Nazione. They claim Leeds have tabled an offer to sign 27-year-old Erick Pulgar from Fiorentina – but so have Italian sides Cagliari and Sassuolo. However, all three have been rejected as none match the £11.5million asking price Fiorentina want for the 24-time Chile international. La Viola also want a replacement before they allow Pulgar to leave the club and with four days to go, it is unlikely.

Radrizzani spotted at Inter Milan?!
A video posted on Twitter by Italian site CalcioMercato saw Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani waiting by the lifts at Inter Milan’s headquarters. Since then, fans have suggested the potential signing of Christian Eriksen among others – but reports in Italy have since stated that Radrizzani was visiting a conference on running a football club in the midst of a pandemic.
Loan swap for Mujica
One of the forgotten names of Victor Orta’s influx of young Leeds talent. Currently on loan at Real Oviedo, 22-year-old Mujica has managed just 132 minutes of action with the second-tier Spanish side since his loan move in the summer. Now, La Voz de Asturias claim he is to swap Oviedo for Las Palmas – and has already ‘packed his bags’.
