We have just over a week before the transfer window slams shut. Leeds fans are becoming frustrated over a lack of investment. Marcelo Bielsa says incoming signings are unlikely. But that has not stopped Leeds rumours, here are updates on Conor Gallagher, Ian Poveda and Adama Traore.
Adama on the move, not to Leeds
The Wolves winger continues to be strongly linked with a move – but reports continue to rate him in the region of £40million. A princely sum, for a player that is renowned for lacking in end product. Duncan Castles recently said that Leeds could launch a £30million bid for the Spaniard.
But it looks as if the Wolves man is more likely to move to Tottenha. Nuno Espirito Santo watched his new Tottenham side beat former club Wolves on Sunday – with Traore missing a glorious chance. However, The Telegraph say Tottenham could make a £40million bid for Traore.
Gallagher discusses rejecting Leeds
Gallagher joined Palace on loan from Chelsea, despite the midfielder undergoing a medical at Leeds before choosing the Eagles (90Min). Leeds need a midfielder still, while Gallagher started for Palace on Saturday during a 0-0 draw with Brentford. Gallagher has spoke to the Independent.
“I liked what Vieira was saying. I feel like it suited me very nicely and like I could express myself the best here,” Gallagher said. “He wants me to do what I do best, which is basically all I want to hear. He knows the type of player I am. That definitely helped persuade me.”
Poveda set for Blackburn loan
Little else to say here. Last week, reports from claim that Poveda is set to leave Leeds on loan. The YEP says Leeds are willing to let Poveda go on loan and now a report from Lancashire Live say Blackburn are set to land Poveda. A loan deal is a move looks more than likely right now.
The report states that Leeds are happy for Poveda to join Blackburn after Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott starred for the second-tier side last season. Leeds are hoping that Poveda can shine just as Elliott did, having 18 goal involvements in 42 games. Blackburn are ‘closing in’ on Poveda.
