Three Leeds transfer updates: New £34m target, Kalimuendo blow, Tuesday medical

Leeds United have already made six signings and sold two players for a combined £100million this summer, but the transfer news does not stop – and here are three new updates that have emerged on Monday.

Kalimuendo blow

Arnaud Kalimuendo, 20, is likely to be the club’s main striker target this summer – as Milan close in on Charles De Ketelaere. It comes after 21 goals in two seasons while with Ligue 1 side Lens, on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

The France Under-21 ace is now back at PSG and is a target for Leeds. But French outlet Media Foot say Leeds – and Newcastle – might have to wait. That is because new PSG boss Christopher Galtier is impressed, and is delaying his exit.

Terrier added to shortlist

Versatile Rennes attacker Martin Terrier, 25, is now the latest player to be linked with Leeds. French newspaper L’Equipe say we are not alone in pursuit of the France international. Liverpool and West Ham want the £34m-rated ace.

Terrier scored an enormous 21 goals in 37 games for Rennes last season. That is, even though most of his appearances came from the left flank. Of course, things went pretty well the last time Leeds raided Rennes for an attacking player.

Tuesday medical pencilled in

Jamie Shackleton could be about to form a quick reunion with Charlie Cresswell down south. Indeed, Shackleton is pencilled in for a medical at Championship side Millwall ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, according to Phil Hay.

It is just what he needs. In his favoured positions of right-back and central midfield, Shackleton has found that the club have made signings in Rasmus Kristensen, Tyler Adams and Marc Roca. They will be getting our bleep test winner.
