Leeds United are one of a number of Premier League clubs to be linked with a move for PSV Eindhoven ace Noni Madueke this summer. The ex-Tottenham teenager has been in excellent form for PSV since breaking into the Dutch side’s senior team. Now, his price tag has been revealed.
Madueke, 19, joined PSV from Tottenham in the summer of 2018 as a 16-year-old. He had made his debut for the Spurs under-18 side at this point. But Spurs were clearly doubtful that Madueke would go on to have the impact he has had. Instead, he has been brilliant for PSV.
Clocking up 32 appearances for PSV last season at senior level, Madueke had a hand in 17 goals – scoring nine and creating eight more. It saw him break into the England Under-21 set-up, and his form has continued this season. Madueke got an assist in a 5-1 win over Galatasaray.
How much would Leeds need to pay for Madueke?
The win, a Champions League qualifier, sees Madueke take a step closer to the Champions League group stage. But The Sun claims PSV have slapped a £20million price tag on Madueke – with the report claiming Crystal Palace and Leicester City are keen. The Evening Standard say Leeds want him.
Able to play on either flank, Leeds could do with cover for Jack Harrison and Raphinha. Helder Costa has emerged as a target for Rodrigo’s old side Valencia, and a move is likely. Ian Poveda could do with a loan. So, at £20million, Madueke would be a good addition for Leeds.
