Patrick Bamford scored from the penalty spot as Leeds earned a 2-1 win over Bolton on Saturday. After the match, he scored on Twitter too – replying hilariously to a Leeds fan.
Bamford, 25, scored his fourth goal for Leeds since joining the club from Middlesbrough. Tyler Roberts had gone down in the penalty area, allowing Bamford to find the net in his 12th Leeds outing.
Mark Beevers equalised but Gjanni Alioski scored the winner, keeping Leeds in contention at the top. The Whites are already back on the training ground, preparing for a trip to the capital to take on QPR.
Bamford was in good spirits on Twitter after the match after netting once again. The well-spoken Bamford has come across somewhat posh in press conferences, and fans have caught on.
A parody Bamford account took to Twitter to tease the former Chelsea and Middlesbrough forward, posting “Going to unwind now with an hour of cello in the conservatory while the dofenoir potatoes cook”.
The typo of ‘dauphinois’ was unnoticed by Bamford, but the striker did sarcastically in the form the fan that he prefers the violin – claiming the cello is to “montonous”.
I favour the violin actually, old chap. I personally find the cello far too monotonous 😂 https://t.co/b85E9irJeU
