Leeds United have been quoted an enormous figure to sign Bristol City winger Callum O’Dowda – surely he is not worth it?
It is an enormous fee for a player that has managed just four goals in 91 appearances for Bristol City. Now, Marcelo Bielsa wants a new winger, but it surely is not a necessity.
We have a number of options. The likes of Jack Harrison, Jack Clarke, Gjanni Alioski and Pablo Hernandez all playing out wide this season. But Hernandez has gone inside, since losing Samu Saiz and Lewis Baker.

There is no doubt O’Dowda is class – 15 caps for Ireland at 23 is proof. But with a Premier League campaign on the horizon, surely £10million is way too much.
Two goals and four assists this season is a decent return but Leeds need better. For such a fee, Bielsa will know he can do a lot better, too.
The Whites have to forget about signing O’Dowda and look elsewhere, perhaps going abroad to bring a new player to Elland Road with £10million likely to get you a lot more from overseas.
