It is that time again. The end of the season has arrived and with that, comes the managerial merry-go-round. Not many would have expected, though, to see Carlo Ancelotti leave Everton on Tuesday. The Toffees manager has returned to Real Madrid – just 18 months into the job at Goodison Park.
Madrid needed a manager after Zinedine Zidane decided to depart. Antonio Conte left Inter Milan and he was linked, as was Mauricio Pochettino – who are coincidentally the frontrunners for the Tottenham Hotspur job. But Madrid chose to go tried and tested, and bring back one of their old gaffers.
It leaves Everton without a manager. Numerous out-of-work gaffers have been linked. The obvious ones include Eddie Howe, Frank Lampard and Nuno Espirito Santo – who last managed Bournemouth, Chelsea and Wolves. Rafa Benitez is also an option, having managed most recently in China.

Even Steven Gerrard is an option after a brilliant stint as Rangers boss – despite his Liverpool allegiances. But Leeds fans have done what is expected of them on social media and warned Everton away from Marcelo Bielsa – who of course – remains out of contact from June 30.
Bielsa has reiterated that he will never manager another English club, that he wants to stay at Leeds and that he will sign a new Leeds deal if needed. Leeds fans have taken to social media to quickly deter Everton from even attempting to take Bielsa away from Elland Road this summer.
