Leeds United are reportedly closing in on a move to sign Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo. The Athletic state a deal could go through this week. But it might not be the only eight-figure move that Leeds complete in the coming days. A report states a permanent Jack Harrison deal is set to go through.

Firpo, 24, has been back-up at Barcelona for the past couple of seasons – struggling to break past Jordi Alba on the left side of the defence. Spanish newspaper AS say Firpo has agreed to join Leeds. He could soon be jetting into Yorkshire to rubber stamp a move. A deal might go through this week.

Leeds have needed a left-back. Firpo would be a brilliant signing at just £13million. He cost a lot more for Barcelona to sign him from Real Betis. It sees Leeds find a solution on the left side of the defence, with Gjanni Alioski about to see his contract at Elland Road expire. Leeds are underway.

Harrison could join Firpo in Leeds move this week

This week, they have also signed Amari Miller from Birmingham City. Plenty of others are being linked including Matheus Cunha, Noa Lang and Matheus Pereira. But now, a report from Manchester Evening News claims that Leeds could secure a permanent deal for Harrison – at £15million.

The report from MEN states that Harrison will join Leeds permanently ‘this week’. He has been excellent for the Whites over the past three seasons, but has been on loan for all three. He missed just two league games in 2020-21 – the home and away fixtures against Manchester City.

Now, Harrison could join Firpo in completing a move to Leeds this week.
