Gjanni Alioski is out of contract, come the end of the month. Officially, his deal ends on June 30 and the left-back is currently on international duty with North Macedonia at Euro 2020. Leeds say he has been offered a new deal – and Angus Kinnear might have let a hint go regarding his future.

Alioski, 29, has been a regular for Leeds throughout the season. While he did not start the campaign in the starting XI – he came into the fold when Stuart Dallas was forced to play in other positions. Dallas has since featured at right-back, in central midfield and on the wing. Alioski has replaced him.

His form has been brilliant for Leeds – but his contract is set to expire. Some reports have say Galatasaray are keen on signing the ex-Lugano wide man. Leeds recently said a deal is on the table for Alioski, but nothing has been said since.

Has Kinnear dropped a hint about Leeds star Alioski?

Speaking about the squad with the transfer window now officially underway, chief executive spoke about the Leeds squad. While he did not mention Alioski specifically, he did state that he expects the entire Leeds squad to stay put and is confident of making sure that will happen.

“Our transfer window has been well underway, the targets have been identified,” Kinnear told BBC Radio Leeds about Alioski. “Work with existing players has already taken place. We’re in a really good place. All under control. All the players want to stay, we want them to stay. We’re very confident all of the players will stay.”
