Confirmed Leeds XI to face Crystal Palace: Three changes, Sinisterra starts

Leeds United take on Crystal Palace in Perth on Friday morning in their third and final friendly of their Australia pre-season tour – and Jesse Marsch has confirmed his line-up, including a start for Luis Sinisterra.

The Whites have had a mixed bag of results in pre-season so far. Back in York, a Leeds side without any internationals pummelled Blackpool 4-0. They started their Australia tour with a 2-1 win over Brisbane Roar.

But last time out, Aston Villa were worthy winners against Leeds – winning 1-0 thanks to Danny Ings’ penalty. While there are promising signs, Marsch will be hoping for a better performance against Crystal Palace.

The American gaffer has made three changes to the side that took on Palace last time out. Pascal Struijk and Adam Forshaw come into the side, while Colombia international Luis Sinsterra gets his first start.

Struijk starts at left-back, Leif Davis is dropped – after starting against Villa. Marc Roca is given a rest after starting all three pre-season matches, while Dan James also misses out to allow Sinisterra to start on the right.

Confirmed Leeds line-up against Crystal Palace

With little over two weeks until the Whites play host to Wolves on August 6 in their first Premier League outing of the season, Marsch will be hoping for a big improvement. Leeds have been good at times, without being excellent.

He will be looking for his new signings to gel, and other certain partnerships to come to fruition. Tyler Adams and Marc Roca is crucial in the middle of the park, while the need for Aaronson to kick on is important.
