Leeds United striker Ryan Edmondson has spoken about a dream come true as he represents his boyhood club.

Growing up as a Leeds supporter, Edmondson is now getting some action in the first-team.

And he admits that he still has to pinch himself to reassure himself that his dream is real.

Edmondson started his career with York City but earned himself a move to Leeds in 2017, initially on scholarship terms.

But the 17-year-old’s rapid rise to the top has been impressive.

Despite his young age, Edmondson has already played two senior games, both coming from the bench in the league.

This season, he was introduced for the last 20 minutes against Birmingham City.

In the absence of Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford, the talented teenager was given his chance.

Edmondson’s words

Edmondson can barely believe that he is already playing first-team football for Leeds.

He said: “I still pinch myself everyday wondering if this dream is real.”
