Leeds United’s 5-2 win over Newcastle United sent Leeds Twitter and Instagram into a frenzy as supporters revelled in a crucial three points – with plenty of goals and flair on show, too. Plenty of Leeds players – new and old also joined in, including Kalvin Phillips and Pablo Hernandez’s wife.

KP’s message to Pablo

It has been a tumultuous season for Hernandez so far. He has been forced to watch from the sidelines for the last five league games – but when he came on with little under 10 minutes left on Wednesday night, the former Spain international sparkled. He nabbed assists for Jack Harrison and Gjanni Alioski, and Phillips applauded El Mago.

Hernandez’s wife sends message to fans

The playmaker does not have Twitter, though his wife does and often communicates with Leeds supporters – perhaps even through Hernandez. During his time on the sidelines, Mar Garcia hinted that Hernandez was fit despite Bielsa suggesting there was an injury. Following his return, she sent a touching message to supporters – a proper sign of class.

Jones delighted, Beckford ruins TalkSPORT pundit

Vinnie Jones has been calling for Leeds to get what they deserve – results to go alongside performances. Eventually Leeds did that and the former White posted on Twitter.

Leeds icon Jermaine Beckford was just as delighted, though he chose to question comments made by Trevor Sinclair. The ex-England man suggested Leeds have looked tired of late – and Beckford called him out.

Gabby Agbonlahor calls for a truce?!

It has been a proper war of words between Leeds and Agbonlahor. It all started when Villa icon Agbonlahor claimed Bielsa was a “myth”. Leeds then beat Villa 3-0 at Villa Park, and fans flooded into Agbonlahor’s mentions. Leeds have since lost, with Agbonlahor celebrating. Even Danny Mills and Agbonlahor have had a social media spat.

But now, the ex-England man is seemingly looking to calm things after the 5-2 win – by offering a truce.
