Leeds Instagram round up: Aden Flint praise, blossoming bromance and Mateusz Klich teases Rodrigo

Leeds produced their best result of the season with a 5-0 thumping of struggling West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night at The Hawthorns – Sam Allardyce’s biggest home defeat in his Premier League career. Plenty of activity was had on Instagram after the match, as Marcelo Bielsa’s men climbed to the lofty heights of 11th place.

The Whites now have 23 points from 16 games, an excellent return considering the style of play and that Leeds are in their first Premier League season since 2004. Every single Leeds player impressed – though the likes of Luke Ayling, Raphinha and Jack Harrison have certainly come in for praise more than most. Aden Flint, Ayling’s former teammate, was vocal on Instagram.

Flint’s six-word message to Ayling

Ayling played alongside towering defender Flint at Bristol City – who is currently playing for struggling Sheffield Wednesday on loan from Cardiff. Ayling has certainly come from the depths of English football as did Flint and while the lofty centre-back stole the plaudits for his goals at Ashton Gate – Ayling has overtaken him. Flint applauded Ayling, as the Leeds defender is in his Fantasy Football team.

Blossoming defensive bromance

Leeds have starred in defence over the past couple of matches. Clean sheets against an in-form Burnley was followed by a comfortable defensive performance against West Brom. Ayling has been pivotal in helping Leeds achieve those clean sheets – despite playing out of position, as has Illan Meslier. The duo sent messages back and forth on Meslier’s post – as Leeds nabbed ‘another’ sixth clean sheet.

Klich teases Rodrigo

Picking the ball up on the right, Klich drove forward and laid a perfectly weighted ball to Rodrigo – who lashed a first-time effort into the back of the net, via a deflection. In the immediate aftermath of the goal, Rodrigo goes to celebrate with Klich, who had just earned his fifth assist – but accidentally pokes the Polish ace in the face. Klich teased Rodrigo from the team bus, posting on Instagram.
