A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the performance of Darko Gyabi after the midfielder made his first appearance for the club in Thursday’s friendly with Brisbane Roar.

Jesse Marsch’s men continued their winning start to pre-season. However, they were given a few more problems in their latest game, having beaten Blackpool 4-0 in their opener.

Leeds fans got their first glimpse of a number of new signings. The likes of Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson started. Meanwhile, Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams came on.

But there was also a bow for Gyabi, who came on at the break.

The 18-year-old is perhaps the signing set for the quietest season in the first-team fold. But there is plenty of excitement about the former Manchester City prospect after his showing.

Understandably, he probably did not see as much of the ball as he would like. But he certainly looked at home in Marsch’s side.

Leeds fans really impressed by Darko Gyabi on debut

He was composed in possession, and appeared to have no issue with what was asked of him. Gyabi often showed for the ball, sometimes dropping into the backline and working in tandem with Tyler Adams.

Plenty of supporters were impressed with what they saw from Gyabi. Some are predicting the teenager to be something of a surprise package this season.

But many are optimistic that the deal to sign Gyabi is going to prove to be inspired.
